MurDaVille, Money Earnin', Mo V., Da Ville, Murda Mount are all the same thing. 1 of 3 NYC suburbs on the north border of the Bronx (Mt.Vernon, Yonkers and New Rochelle). Consists of 3 main neighborhoods: Fleetwood, Chester Heights, and Da Ville. Fleetwood is rich people (from what I hear), Chester Heights is too, and Da Ville is the ghetto. There is one project on 3rd and 7th called Levister Towers. Everywhere else in Da Ville is depressed and ghetto. The only 2 shopping centers are The Ave. (4th Ave.), and Gramatan Ave. Rich, white folks go to Gramatan to shop, hood people go to the Ave. Has the highest crime rate in Westchester county. Also has a higher crime rate than NYC(check the stats). Home of world famous strip club Sue's Rendezvous. Childhood home of up and coming rapper PureComp. More recently, the home to the MurDaVille Bloods, mainly on 3rd and 3rd. Only 4.2 square miles. Rejected by NYC and Yonkers. Yonkers people swear they better than us. Guess what? You're not. Mount Vernon is a town split in half. A bridge divides this 4 square mile town between a ghetto and a pretty nice surburban neighborhood. Unlike some of the definitions of my counterparts, the dividing line is not black/white, it is between urban/surburban. My whole family is "white" and I grew up on the ghetto side. So, by default, there must be more than one or two white people. Sorry guys your definition is inaccurate.
Mount Vernon also has an underfunded public school system, which suited me just fine. Life is what you make out of it. You can grow up poor on the ghetto side of mount vernon go through an underfunded school system and still make something of yourself.

Mount Vernon is the exact opposite of some of its neighboring towns. You have to work harder when your from Mount Vernon to get certain places, but it is worth it. Mount Vernonites learn the value of hard work.

A city that's getting more and more dangerous each day. I grew up there and its really sad to see what goes on in Mount Vernon today. Gunshots are a normal sound now. If you see something red on the sidewalk, its blood, not a popsickle stick that a kid dropped. So much stuff happens there that it isn't even put on the news anymore.

A hoodish city. Where the outcasts from NYC and Yonkers reside. Their sports teams are really BIG. Like REALLY big. TYhe players are jacked up! ugh Mamaroneck Cross Country always loses to their boys! All-County was held there once...never again.

Really not more ghetto than Yonkers at all, a somewhat misunderstood place. It would be hard to argue that Mount Vernon is "so bad" when in fact the part of the Bronx it borders is really not that bad at all. Someone try to tell me that 233rd St & Baychester Ave is the hardcore Bronx. It could probably pass for suburbia! Together the two areas pretty much look like a clone of the North Shore of Staten Island - a distant, jungle-like ghetto.

A boring old fart city, filled with boring old people and nothing to do! Small town, lots of drama and very few food choices. Thought of as a hick town, and teenagers usually dont like living there.
