A great videogame on the PlayStation 2, released orginally as Snake Eater in late 2004. (Early 2005 here in the UK/Europe) - A re-release coming out in 2005/2006 called Subsistence with an updated camera amongst other things.
Third
game in the Metal Gear Solid series, and (in my opinion) the best MGS
game, because of the great memories with
friends, great story, good gameplay and moving characters.
The
game takes place 40-50 odd years before the other Metal Gear Solid games, and puts you in the boots of Naked Snake - An American ex Green Beret turned CIA operator who infiltrates a Soviet jungle to rescue a scientist called Sokolov - like the other MG games, it twists and turns greatly.
You use camouflage to hide in the jungle, CQC to eliminate enemy soldiers, and you hunt for animals and plants to fulfill your stamina from
time to
time.
I urge anyone to try this
game, it
may be old, and have a sequel out Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots on PS3. But to me, it's the best one in the series.
I recommend Subsistence.
Metal Gear
Solid 3 is amongst my best videogames ever played alongside
007 Goldeneye on N64, Super Mario 64, Grand Theft Auto III and Metal Gear Solid
2.
