Meat is off the bone

Describes something good, derived from really good meat being cooked so well it falls off the bone.
Person 1: “I just scored tickets to see Gin Blossoms!”

Person 2: “Nice! That meat is off the bone!”

Can also be used in the negative.

Person 1: “My dog just died.”
Person 2: “Sorry man. That meat is not off the bone.”
