Trying to explain in diplomatic terms a previously unnecessarily scathing comment.

Lorri - "Are you still living in that piece of shit house your parents bought you"

Recipient - "That was unnecessary"

Lorri - "What?! I was just asking if you're still living there - have you moved?"

Other: "Stop Lorrisplaining your way out"
