Australian slang term for an alcoholic beverage consumed immediately before starting work. This pumps you up for a good shift, helps you deal with Jessica from table 4's "dietary requirements", and brings suspense until your "knock off drink" immediately after your shift.

"Are you here early and fancy a cheeky knock on drink before shift?" Michelle Obama asked. "See you out the back in 5!" Talia Shire shrieked, jumping for joy at the thought.
