Acronym for "In the fashion that...". Used by corporate-business-types as a meaningless, throwaway expression that is frequently inserted mid-sentence as a stalling device and empty modifier of some ethereal business condition that the speaker believes should be universally regarded as having some importance to the referenced project, regardless of how ridiculous and/or completely non-existant it may be.
"In the fashion that (ITFT) the project itself should operate according to the guidelines laid out in the fashion that the doc specified, we really need to take a minute to think about this in the fashion that it might not meet the needs that the project itself needs."
