Also known as “differential calculus.” A big word that means finding the slope or gradient of any point on a curve, which uses the idea of a limit to avoid breaking the “eleventh commandment” of “dividing zero by zero.”
The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus tells us that differentiation is the reverse process of integration, which involves finding the rates at which things change; or differentiation is the procedure of obtaining the slope of a curve from its equation.
