Short-lasting episodes that closely mimic symptoms of mania—such as reckless euphoria, disinhibited impulsivity, and impaired judgement—but do not meet criteria for the duration of a manic episode in bipolar disorder. It is triggered by an euphoric split in borderline personality disorder, commonly known as BPD euphoria.
