In early 2020 the covid-19 outbreak occurred leaving many to wonder how it originated, it was believed to come from a bat. On Twitter a viral video of a woman eating a bat soup with the misleading caption claiming she started the pandemic, the video was quickly debunked as the video came out in 2016, 4 years ago in Palau not Wuhan but it was too late as people have been misinformed.

Bat soup is a racist term and is entirely untrue to the covid-19 outbreak origins

Person 1: Ugh I hate wearing a mask! It’s all because some Chinese chink ate bat soup.

Person 2: Don’t say that, that’s racist.
