A genuine question of concern. Because sometimes our friends fall off the wagon. Sometimes they're cruel for no obvious reason. Sometimes it hurts to the core. Don't be afraid to ask them if they're okay.
"Are you okay?"
by Please be okay. April 16, 2013
This is a question typically asked by others who have noticed something off in your behavior, and care about you enough to ask it.
This question is asked to confirm that the inquired person is in a sound physical, mental, or emotional state.
The question "are you okay?" is usually met with a lie, because the person will feel that they don't need to worry the others, or that they just can't explain it, or talk about anything right now.

The typical response when someone says something that makes no sense, as it is usually a sign that the person has fallen off the wagon

A nice word but can be used in a work setting to ask why you are not working. Its usually the person that can’t be bothered with their own responsibilities asking this question. The reason for this?Well their is none apart from the fact it puts peer pressure onto the collegue and assumes authority for the manager.
