They’re either so repressed that nothing gets through their emotional firewall, or so disconnected from their feelings that even a child’s laugh, a heartfelt poem, a soulful song, or a breathtaking view leaves them completely unmoved. Picture a human equivalent of a flatline on an emotional EKG—zero reaction, just a blank stare.

Here's how it's works: You use my emotional state or project a negative emotional state (Anger, Jealousy, Fear) on to me for the purposes of dismissing a proposition or statement. It's fallacious (obviously) because my emotional state has has no baring on the truth of my proposition. 2+2=4 regardless of whether or not I'm angery while I tell you that 2+2=4. My emotional state is irrelevant. And by accusing me of 'Jealousy' you're doing the EXACT SAME THING leftist do when they accuse conservatives of being transphobes or homophobes. Protecting 'Fear' on to them for the purpose of dismissing their propositions. There you have it. 'Dismissal from emotion fallacy' that's the thing you're doing. Look for it. Get the Dismissal from emotion fallacymug. When someone seems intent on telling you to stop feeling a specific emotion. Usually negativity because you're "bringing everyone's mood down" or something similar. Even when you hide your emotions in public and say one offhand comment about how you really feel,there will most likely be someone there to enact Emotional Policing. You're expected to change yourself despite how you truly feel,despite how many facts you have to back up your emotions (which you shouldn't need because that notion seeks to invalidate emotional response). Emotional Policing is everywhere.
Example one:
Todd: "Yeah,Project 2025 is going to hurt a lot of marginalized people and minorities. I'm worried my friends will die."
Bill: "Oh my god,stop being such a fucking doomer Todd! Just relax,everything will be okay."
Todd: "Oh yeah,I should totally 'just relax' when the people I know are going to be hurt or killed. Fuck you and your Emotional Policing,Bill."
Example two:
Jerry: *Expresses even one negative emotion.*
