Myspace hair is characterized by messy, ratty-looking hair, mainly due to randomly placed hair extensions, teasing, and loads of hairspray.

It's gained popularity among the scenester crowd (more commonly known as myspace whores), and now-a-days, you'd be hard pressed not to find a default pic on myspace showcasing a perfect example of this style.

PersonA: Did you see Misty's new myspace default? Her hair looks like a total rat's nest.

PersonB: Duh. It's suppsosed to look like that. It's myspace hair.

hair band

A group of men in a rock band, each with an obsenely large mane that is typically wavy and always past the shoulders. The men in the band (most formed in or around 1980) bang their heads so their hair flies all over and they sing rock songs about women and love in multi-part harmony. In addition, it is customary to wear either extremely tight pants or similarly tight stone-washed cut-off jeans when part of a hair band.

Def Leopard, the men of Spinal Tap, Poison, and Twisted Sister were superior hair bands in the 80s.

When someone who obviously loves to have their hair in a very asymmetrical way shakes their head to remove their long bangs from their eyes.

They however immediately return their bangs to their rightful place, obscuring most of their face.

Pretty much any kid who is cool enough to be emo does the emo hair flip.
