Making a promise you have no intention of keeping and yet your victim continuously trusts you to. Originally a gag from the Peanuts comics by Charles Schulz where Lucy van Pelt would encourage Charlie Brown to kick a football she would hold, promising not to pull away and old Chuck always falling for it.

A term used when writers bring back characters, especially villains, who have already died. The term is named after the character Albert Wesker, who died in Resident Evil, but return in Resident Evil: Code Veronica. If the dead character returns in a prequel, it doesn't count as Pulling A Wesker as the story takes place before their death and therefore they should still be around. To Pull A Wesker, a dead character must return in a sequel after being dead. This is usually done as fan service or as a surprise plot twist.
Man #1: I hear they're gonna bring Atlas back in BioShock 4
Man #2: I hope not, that'd be Pulling A Wesker
