Internet mirage

In social networking, an internet mirage is when a user is offline or inactive but appears online or currently active to another computer. This only becomes apparent once the user of that computer attempts to communicate with them. Often, this leads to paranoid feelings of unpopularity, because the user erroneously assumes that the person left because they didn't want to speak to them.

Simon: "DAAVE my good mate, how're you doing?"

Computer: "David is now offline."

Simon: ":O What a douche!... oh wait, it was probably just an internet mirage... or was it?"

Internet Inertia

Usually accompanied by mild insomnia, it is the feeling one has as they try to cease browsing the internet but find they are unable to stop. The result is that one slowly drifts on into the unending space of the web.

Internet ADD

When you initially go on the internet to do something important, but 5 minutes later you find yourself on a random website like urban dictionary wasting so much friggin' time.

Guy 1: "Hey man, did you finish writing up those papers?"
Guy 2: "Huh, yeah yeah I will right after 1 more cat video."
Guy 1: "Ugh, you have Internet ADD."

Internet Spelunker

An internet spelunker is someone who wanders the web looking to find unusual, old, and hard to reach information. They may do this in many ways including but not limited to browsing TOR, deep webbing, torrenting, looking for obscure search terms, browing 4chan, and following links on defunct web sites. Internet spelunkers often have large collections of unusual images and strange web addresses they have found and can find almost anything you're looking for nomatter how obscure even if it may take them a little while to find it.

Damnit, 4chan has failed to find the source of that pic. Anyone know an internet spelunker?
