tonky bubble

The name given to a large, sometimes painful buildup of intestinal gas that can accumulate during anal sex while the sphincter is plugged. Historically reserved for the "doe" half of homosexual male couples but in modern times has been applied to gaseous females as well.

Dude, I was all up in this one chick's pipe last night and it was so great, but the then she blapped this nasty tonky bubble and ruined everything.

Burst your bubble

To burst someone's bubble is to reveal something to them that they were unaware or ignorant of, often in the form of bad news. However, it doesn't necessarily have to be something negative (see example 2).

Example 1: Sorry to burst your bubble, but your "perfect" girlfriend is cheating on you with Dave.

Example 2: Sorry to burst your bubble, but pearls are not formed from compressed coal. You're thinking of diamonds.

economic bubble

A phenomenon in economics in which too much loose cash finds its way into an area of the market, e.g., stocks, housing, dot-com, etc., resulting in a buying frenzy that leads to wildly inflated prices. Economic activity in those areas affected is not sustainable in the long run, so large numbers of late investors eventually go bankrupt.

We were warned of an economic bubble, but bought high-priced shares anyway thinking we could unload them on some poor sap before the bubble burst. Boy, were we wrong!

The imaginary bubble that exists around the campus of warwick university. It is well known for students to go an entire term without leaving the bubble, particularly if they live on campus.

farmland bubble

A situation in which farmland prices skyrocket due to speculation in the futures market in one or more crops. Asset bubbles form when too much money finds its way into one area of the market. The bubble is considered to be excessive, and, therefore, not sustainable in the long run.

Farmers are planting more and more corn, because the demand for ethanol is creating a farmland bubble by raising the value of their land to previously unheard of heights.
