To confirm something has happened or will happen. It comes from the nursery rhyme about the farmer getting 3 bags full of wool.

A "glad bag" is defined as an organ within the human body that does not show up on MRI/CAT SCANs or x-ray, it self-destructs during happy joyous beautiful, nice, lovely glad moments in a person's life. Science and human biology find it difficult to define or explain.
