Proper (i.e. British) English translation of "dollar store". Used in a derisory fashion to mean a shoddy imitation or second rate substitute.
Its use is not limited to Tory politicians, though they do seem to provide the most cogent examples at the time of writing.

Amazingly beautiful person. sensitive, great listener, funny, gorgeous but he doesnt know it. unique, great friend, honest, trusting. honestly a truly amazing person. wishes he lived in the 20's but im sooooo glad he didnt because then i wouldnt get to have him in my life. simple, sweet, perfectly imperfect. modest but awsome and just flipping insane. and hes funny :)
