Netbanger

Someone who acts tough on the internet, oftentimes threatening virtual harm to others and picking e-fights. They are seen most often on websites or video game social platforms such as vrchat.com, where some players join virtual "gangs". Whether it be for the delusion of power, fame, or even just the feeling of being "harmful" to other over a screen, it's arguably one of the most pathetic things you can participate in. This activity usually derives from white boys who lack attention or think they're "hard", when they're quite the opposite.

While the source of this term is unknown, it has gained slight reference and popularity in very small doses over the last year of 2022/2023.
