An insulting name for any scene or genre of music that is of below average quality. Usually used in regards to various hardcore offshoot styles.

New Jersey has a pretty active medio-core scene these days.

Mediocruccino

The step up from a cheapuccino/fakeuccino. Halfway between instant crap coffee (i.e. Nescafe "gold blend") and proper freshly ground from bean coffee.

JC: Lets get a free coffee from my office before we go to the canteen
JA: Yeah I could use a cheapuccino

<the noble gentlemen JC and JA make their way to JC's office and JC intialises the caffeine dosing machine which then, to their utter delight, dispenses a couple of heated beverages>

JA: This isn't quite a cheapuccino, it's not that bad
JC: Indeed, it's a mediocruccino
