epic fail

The one term used by video game nerds that is used to explain an unfortunate event. This is a combination of the two terms "epic" and "fail." "Epic" was a term that showed that something is amazing, where "fail" was a term saying that you're horrible at something.

John: I got a B+ on my test.
Anders: EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!

BJ: Wow, cheap kill.
Franklin: EPIC FAIL!!!!!!

Darren: Wow, you are the biggest retard I've ever met.

Epic fail

To fail epically and try to pass it off by saying something else actually happened. Its even much more epic when the fail happens in front of all of ones coworkers during an important event like a military relinquishment of command. It is only made much more epic when someone happens to capture it on film. This is what we have come to know as an Epic George Fail.

Rio: Did you see George, I think he almost passed out! Talk about an epic fail?

Throne: I know, are you okay George? It looked like you were about to pass out!

George: What are you talking about? I was readjusting my beret!

Rio: Whatever George, you just failed epically and I got a picture of it happening with my camera phone.
