Urban Dictionary

An online resource that is generally very useful when seeking definition for slang words and phrases. However, there are a great many people who have added entries who cannot spell or use grammar & punctuation correctly, which their contributions to the lexicon useless.

For example: there, their and they're are often used incorrectly in the Urban Dictionary. The misplaced apostrophe - do'nt, ca'nt, was'nt etc. And mispelling slang words, for example the contraction of the word 'whore' is 'ho' not 'hoe' - this a tool for gardening.

A place where all you'll find is made up sex moves, sex positions and anything to do with sex. And then all the other definitions no one reads.

Guy 1: Did you read urban dictionary last night?

Guy 2: Why?

Guy 1: Your girl said you tried to pull a charizard last night...yeah.

The urban dictionary is what the oxford english dictionary would have turned out like, if it had attended an inner city comp. The oxford english dictionary clearly received a private, priviliged education where it could just get on with being smart and get the grades to go to Oxbridge. The urban dictionary had to survive on its wits alone.

Is that an urban dictionary? No its the oxford english wearing nike airs.
