Verb - To run away in haste; to move quickly towards your destination. Used when describing your pace being rushed and the need for haste being a surprise.

This term was first developed in Yakima, WA by a local skate boarding group, which won't be named for legal purposes, in relation to evading the police or moving fast after ripping someone off.

eat the book

To admit that you were wrong and follow through on things you said you would do if you were wrong.

Made popular after politics professor Matthew Goodwin promised to eat his new book if Labour polled over 38% in the 2017 UK general election under Jeremy Corbyn.

On 27 May 2017 he tweeted: "I'm saying this out loud. I do not believe that Labour, under Jeremy Corbyn, will poll 38%. I will happily eat my new Brexit book if they do".
After the 2017 election, where Labour gained 40% of the vote under Corbyn, Matthew ate his book on live TV after a large amount of pressure on Twitter.
