A backronym for “tip” or gratuity. Tipping can be seen as a way of thanking a person for good services, so “thanks in pay” works pretty well.

Get the Thanks in Paymug. It's pretty simple. I say this sometimes. He was not a perfect human, but he's brought me joy many times, He just did it again.
