September Mourning is an amazing trans-media dark culture band based off of a character called “September Mourning”. They have released a comic book series. September is meant to be a human grim reaper and the rest of the band are the reapers. The band was founded by Marc Silvestri and Emily Lazar. The band reached minor fame with their songs “20 below” and “eye of the storm”. They first released their album “Melacholia” in 2011 and their second studio album “Volume II” in 2017. The whole concept of September is the fictional concept of a human-grim reaper hybrid named September (Lazar), as she navigates the world of the living and the world of the dead, her human side possessing the empathy to give some human souls a second chance. The story is presented on different media platforms, including music, comic books, and live concerts. The comic books are published by Top Cow Productions Image Comics. They are an amazing band and I recommend you check them out.
