A term used to define a horror trope -- the period of a horror film (most often occurring in the latter half of the Second Act) where the hero/es research their foe/s in an effort to become more equally matched and equipped to battle them in the Final Act. Coined by screenwriter Kimberley Elizabeth.

fast acting food

Any snack or meal that passes through you so fast (think "bad poopy"), that it is almost as if you hadn't even eaten.

Wow, that was some fast acting food ! I didn't even get out of the Chinese restaruant before it left my system.
