Opening Doors

A cricketing term used to describe a spin bowler attempting to deliver off break or left arm orthodox deliveries.

Due to only managing the slightest of rotations on the ball no more than opening a door in basic day to day life the player therefore is given the title of 'door opener' or is believed to be 'opening doors' each time he delivers the ball. The use of this term is dated back to the early 2000s and was first used by the great Billy Oswell of Brisbane.

One who watches the crowd at a bar and permits or does not permit people to stay. They tend to be very good with faces; at different places, this person may be the owner, security, the person taking cover, or even the bartender. It may also apply to the friends of employees.

Door Dumper

A favorite in college dorms. The act of filling a large garbage can with water and leaning it against an adversaries door, knocking and walking away. When the person opens the door, they and their room are flooded with the water from the can.

That guy was acting like a jerk at the party so I gave him a door dumper!
