A food bae is a someone you flirt with, talk to, get food for/with but remains platonic and there is no commitment and no relationship outside of any situation that does not include food.
This term can also be associated with “side chick” or “side nigga” but only when it comes to getting/making food.
He or she can be terminated and have their food bae status revoked, for doing any of the following up to and including:
double dipping (getting food from more than one food bae in the same time), no showing at a restaurant or locale, habitually not responding to messages about getting or bringing food, not checking that an order is right before bringing it, and/or having food delivered to the wrong address.
