first date test

A test a man gives a woman on the first date by attempting to sleep with her. If he is successful she has failed the test and is too promiscuous to be considered girlfriend material.

James had a great time with Sarah on their date. However after they went back to her place and he gave her the first date test and she failed by allowing him to sleep with her he decided not to call her again.

Coffee Date

The awkward, yet most common way for young adults to catch up in public. A coffee date is a good way to see someone you need to in a low-key way with a short time frame. Often used when coming home from college for breaks or catching up with old friends found on Facebook.

Person One: "Hey! We need to catch up soon! I miss you!"
Person Two: "Agreed! Coffee date soon?"

The initial informational-interview type meeting with someone met through an online dating service.

Typically involves a drink, right after work, during the week. Sometimes this psuedo-date can carry over into dinner if both parties are interested.

Fifi is getting tired of the same ol'pre-date format. She'd rather take a walk in the park.

A date that takes place in the reception room in an inn or club where visitors can be received, or a date that takes place in the living room or other room in a private house or establishment where people can sit and talk and relax.

He came to her house for their parlor date. They had planned on enjoying conversation and lemonade.

When there is a definite end date to your sexual encounter. Two people involved in a sexual experience that has an end date due to location, timing, marriage, etc.

Looking for a date

Looking for a date is when a cop targets certain crimes (usually speeding and other minor traffic violations) in order that they will get overtime to appear in court when the ticket is challenged.

The cop chased down Don for doing 5 miles over because he was looking for a date for July 1st.
