Despite their apparent concern for 'the planet', they never seem to recognize that humans are also a large part of the biogeochemical cycle (aside from pollution) and thus also a part of the planet that should be preserved. Notwithstanding that they are effectively clueless and misinformed about the majority of environmental issues, still somehow they will make it a point to virtue signal to you in some way about their 'enlightened' climate status if you dare disagree with them or view the topic as moot.
