Capitalism with Indonesian Characteristics

The unofficial de-facto economic system of Indonesia that punishes foreign businesses and companies that create jobs, and employment opportunities for Indonesians, and contribute substantial tax revenue to the government and by extension, the country's standard of living for doing certain things that offend the delicate sensibilities of the Indonesian people in areas wholly unrelated to the quality of the goods and services delivered by these companies.

i.e., releasing an advertisement that certain people believe looks similar to a conflict happening the middle east that may or may not actually be depicting said conflict, or a franchisee of a fast food chain completely separate from the franchisee in Indonesia donating free meals to the military of a middle eastern country in a conflict.

Makcik: Eh, Abang! You heard that McDonalds is giving free meals to the IDF? How dare they support GENOCIDE??! I think they forgot that under Capitalism with Indonesian Characteristics we can boycott their brands and cause thousands of Indonesians to lose their jobs, investments and lower our standard of living yet still believe we are doing shit to help Palestinians!!

Abang: Hahaha come on lets teach Ronald McDonald the imperialist what we Indonesians are made of!! Indonesia Boleh!!

Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

A poor man's socialist system that the Communist Party of China (CPC) or CCP claims is a whole new ideology invented by Deng Xiaoping that takes the "good parts" of capitalism without the bad, and the "good parts" of socialism without the bad and combines them to form the number 2 spot for Gross Domestic Production (GDP) globally. But is in reality just whatever the CCP says it needs to do to pursue economic growth while justifying their authoritarian grip on power in China.

A: Okay students, can anyone tell me what is the economic system of China?
B: Capitalism? Duh, Jack Ma is rich AF..
A: Incorrect.
B: Ohh Communism? They are run by a communist party--
A: Wrong again, their economic system runs on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics!
B: Really? Wow, how does this system work?
A: I don't know B, read a damn book, they change the definition every time a new general secretary is in power so 10 years from now it could mean just having an economy based off chinese scam call centres for all I know!

The unofficial economic system of Malaysia that punishes all companies, foreign or home grown that operate in the country for activities or incidents that offend the delicate sensibilities of Malaysians in areas such as religion that are wholly unrelated to the quality of goods and services provided by these businesses.

A: I would like to introduce my home-made family owned coffee business, here is our logo, it depicts Zeus and his lightning bolt, because we deliver our coffee to your doorstep as fast as lightning--
B: OMG, how dare you do this...
A: What? Is it something I said--
B: How dare you depict a false pagan god on your logo? Don't you know there is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD???
C: Yeah, are trying to convert us Malaysians into your pagan cult??
A: Guys, its literally just a logo, i'm not trying to--

People Who Call Fictional Characters Their Wife or Husband

Now these are the kinds of people you see all the time on the interweb! Commonly, when someone reaches a certain level of obsession for said character, they might start referring to them as their "wife" or "husband". Or, well, "malewife". Or.. god forbid... "waifu"...

This is pretty common in the yumeship (another word for people who ship themselves with a character) community, but sometimes these people can be a bit.. strange.

Now no hate to them of course, but they will probably find your IP address if you talk shit about their "wife". They also likely have some sort of shrine or obsessive merch collection of said character, which is totally not creepy or weird in any way. If you see a figure in a jar, don't walk, run.
