backing track

The part of the song which is just the intstruments is called the "Backing Track" or "Instumentals".

It is useful to get these tracks if you wish to spoof a song, but make it have the same beats/sounds in the background as the original.

That singer is really bad, but I like the tune. I think I will just try and get the backing track and record my own voice over it. That'd rock!

Harford County Track Club

Harford County Track Club, aka HCTC is a track club for middle school students who are thinking about doing high school track. This team is to prepare runners for the high school workouts, and get used to racing. The team goes to meets on the weekends, and races teams in the surrounding areas.

Running Track

An analogy between long distance running and drinking alcohol. Often used as a retort by those being taunted by people who are drinking at a faster pace than themselves.

Sean: Wow steve-o, you better catch up, you're two beer behind me!
Steve: Hey Sean, you ever run track?
Sean: No... why?
Steve: Well Sean, drinking is kind of like running track. If you waste all your energy sprinting at the beginning, what are you going to have in the tank for the homestretch?
