That's over 50 years! The engine was very reliable and done it's job well, until it got replaced by the newer, more modern engine developed for the Lamborghini Aventador, which replaced the Murci. Speaking of out of date engines, the Skyline line of production vehicles had the RB26-DETT I6 engine from the Nissan Skyline GT-R R31 to the Skyline R34, before it got replaced by the RB30-DETT V6 engine, making about 300-ish horsepower.
