Emo boys have figured out that if they pretend to have the same gushy emotions as teenage girls they will score with those girls more often.

a 'emo boy' is a boy/man of any age that hasnt been conned into thinking that the world is such a lovely place and he has realised that there is a darker side to life. he isnt afraid to keep away from the stereotypical image of as some people put it "real men". they can wear band tee's or just any kind of tight top. they wear tight black jeans with a studded belt. some of them also choose to wear a bandanna either in their back pocket of tied round their necks. they listen to emotional rock music suck as hawthorne heights, my chemical romance, the used etc. they can usually be found walking round in big groups in towns or shopping centres. they can have peircings such as lip, tongue, ears and noses.
they never have to worry about never getting a girlfriend as many girls find them irrisistable. they have usually dark hair that has been styled so it covers parts of their face and some of them of them wear eyeliner.

An emo boy cannot be grouped by any stereotype. The various people who go "hurr that emo slits his wrists and dresses like a girl hurr he's so pathetic hurr" clearly fear what they don't understand. Emo boys don't all wear makeup, and the vast majority don't slit their wrists. Similarly, not all emos listen to bands such as Fallout Boy and My Chemical Romance. They listen to what they want, when they want.
The only thing that actually defines an "emo" boy is how in touch with his emotions he is. They can be happy, sad, bored, whatever. They're just not afraid to show it.
Many people are emo, and even their closest friends don't know it.

despite what many people think, emo boys are not all wrist cutting fags. yes, some of us wear make up, and some of us are homosexual or bisexual. emo means emotional. an emo boy is one who doesn't mind a good cry every now and then. he listens to any music he wants and doesn't care what other people think. they are not sad all the time, they are not emo because of family matters, and they are not emo because "its whats cool." they are very nice, (or complete assholes, it depends on who they are inside. I'm not going to lie and say I'm the nicest person in the world,) and they try not to judge other people. the one thing that annoys an emo boy more than anything is the stereotypes that follows emos. the aforementioned "wrist cutting fags" its a major stereotype. in short, we are generally nice people who accept other nice people. not to mention emo boys are pretty cute ;)
jock: hey, are you a wrist cutting fag?
emo boy: no, I'm not. i am a boy who is in touch with his emotions. i wasn't pushed too hard by my father to live up to his own failed dreams of glory. my mother was not overbearing. i don't have friends who only pretend to like me because I'm apart of their clique as the typical homophobic football player who showers with other guys in the locker room.
jock: *looks down* .. shut up..

Someone who expresses their interest and EMOtions in an obvious or outward way such as dress. They have great respect for music and art. They typically don't follow the mainstream Unless that's what they like. They be who they want to be and if others don't approve of who they are, that's their problem. They typically wear tight skinny jeans, a slim fit tee that sports one of their favorite bands and accessories such as studded Metal belts, hoodies, bracelets, and various piercings. Most also have dyed black and straightened hair and like to wear eyeliner. Some even wear black nail polish

An emo boy is a male who has bought into the MTV fad of over sensitivity. Usually, the male is of college age and is going through "the motions". Hopefully, in time, the emo boy with grow out of his confusion and become a regular man.
It's a popular misconception that emo boys are more in touch with their emotions than non-emo males. It's generally a drama paradox, showing more emotion that one has.
An emo boy is usually seen wearing: Jet black hair, black clothing, thrift store clothing with misc. logos, Chuck Tailors (or similar), black army style caps, studded belt, tight pants
The emo male is usually well groomed and metrosexual.

Now I could make fun here but, we're all guilty of buying into things. Everyone is capable of following a fad. So, cheer up emo kid, it's only a growing stage of your life.
