Me: When my boss got fired, he sent out an email to the entire company claiming that he was the hardest worker they'd ever seen, that he singlehandedly had kept the company afloat for decades, and that the company is out to get him because they're un-American and hate people who think for themselves.
Friend: How trumpian! What'd he get fired for?
Me: Stealing money from the company.
Friend: How VERY trumpian!

The way a Trump supporter will attempt to rationalize a bad action done by their favorite president.

Trumpian denial: “He didn’t do that. And if he did do it, he didn’t mean it. And if he did mean it, you didn’t understand it. And if you did understand it, it’s not a big deal. And if it is a big deal, it’s not illegal. And if it is illegal, everyone has done it. And if everyone hasn’t done it, the Democrats have done worse.”
