main character syndrome

Main character syndrome is a term used to describe a mindset where a person views themselves as the central figure in their life story, often dramatizing their experiences and seeking attention similar to a main character in a movie or book.
Main character syndrome: JP Abecilla felt like the main character when the Starbucks barista misspelled his name as "JC," making him dramatically declare it a "travesty" instead of just a typo.

main character moment

When someone, on an internet comment section, gets irrationally mad when a content creator says something innocuous, contorts it into a completely different sentence and takes it as a personal attack when it is, at worst, merely a difference in personal preference among members of the aforementioned group.
The classic "Do you pancakes? OH! SO YOU HATE WAFFLES!" blended with "No true Scot," sprinkled with selective hearing, wrapped in a paradox with a jealousy Aioli spread.

Clarification: The paradox in my example being this commentor who doesn't understand that a woman (the content creator) cannot have a "lived gay male experience" by definition.
Tuber in video: "This event forced the internet to get woke about some uncomfortable questions."

Commentor1: "Before calling yourself woke, I suggest you do better research and think of others before you make statements that accuse gay male preferences of fetishes and domination, assume MOST muscle appreciation by men as sexual, and make statements not to your own experiences. I get young white westerners love to be famous on youtube but jesus enough with the philosophizing and generalizing (especially marginalized) populations without actual life experience."

Commentor2 in reply to Commentor1 : "Certified main character moment."
