The typical definition of incel is involuntarily celibate is misleading because celibacy is inherently voluntary. They refuse to view themselves as the problem and blame their shortcomings with women on everyone else, instead of taking the necessary steps for self improvement. In reality the sole definition of an incel is someone who has failed in the sense of finding a partner despite desiring one. The definition of an Incel does not involve what people immediately refer to when it is said, (no life, pussy, racist, misogynist, homophobic) but all of these have come into the community that is "incels", when it is not what makes an incel an incel, it is just the chosen term to describe a certain group of men who involve themselves in these activities despite the term meaning something completely different, something that is involuntary.
