to do something that TOO MUCH of other people do, it becomes to predictable, boring, and overused it becomes worse than basic, copy and paste, and eggy. mostly seen in everywhere but real life. (wait hold up did i just create a normal def without stupidity?)

Generic means pertaining or appropriate to large classes or groups as opposed to specific members of the group. This could be large and common genres of music, or brands of clothing.

Nick's music taste is so generic, he really likes The Offspring and Greenday.
