E.g. When someone says something utterly stupid...like when a colleague says the dumbest thing in the world or your partner says something daft..."don't worry it probably just a case of dingbatitis..."

Dingit

There’s no single particular definition that is capable of describing EXACTLY what or who a dingit is. Dingit can be used in a loving tone meant with a full heart. It can also be used as an insult when common sense is lacking within an individual. The word ‘dingit’ takes on many forms, it is a highly versatile word enveloping multiple different definitions based upon how one chooses to utilize it in a sentence. One could say the word ‘dingit’ is multifaceted.
