It was obvious why a man like Stephen Gawking was a gawkeist. It wasn't intellect that encouraged him. It was emotion stemmed from the condition he suffered. You could see that this was the case when an otherwise intelligent man used an evidenceless hypothesis (multiverse which is science fiction) to advocate gawkeism.
