Who was the one who specially spent time & effort to help you the last time? Who was the one who stayed & supported you through every situation?
It’s no other than your therapist (or a friend that does the same thing).
Please. Since they did everything they could to help you & make YOU happy last time, how about that change?
Introducing: Therapist Appreciation Week, 7 August to 13 August
What you can do: Simply just arrange a hangout IRL, ask her/him questions, give her/him flowers/anything else, really. For the first day, you could even write her/him a paragraph to start the week off too!

Get the Therapist Appreciation Week mug.A therapy plot is a variation on the "idiot plot", which is a term to describe a story "kept in motion solely by virtue of the fact that everybody involved is an idiot," and that could be quickly solved if the characters were just a bit brighter.
A therapy plot is the same kind of idea, but where the story is purely kept in motion by the fact that every character desperately needs to see a therapist.

Get the Therapy Road mug.Someone who has never been to therapy in their adult life. They make excuses for not going; for example, saying they don’t have time or that it’s too expensive or that the one therapist they contacted didn’t email back fast enough. They think the brain is magically separated from the rest of the human body and therefore, it’s OK to get help from health professionals for everything BESIDES their mental health, which they sorely neglect.
I thought that guy was hot until I found out he’s a therapy virgin. No way am I playing his on-call ‘therapist’ for free.

Get the therapy virgin mug.Yes, therapy is dead now because the guy who refused to let an ethics board review his studies can't sit and do nothing (save for collect stories for his new book that only sells if he's a culture warrior) anymore.
Hym "My point here is that you failed upwards. You didn't think nobody sawr that my guy? And I keep surprising myself. I keep finding a deeper level. This is really about your ability to arbitrate failure. That's all your "need to preserve the hierarchies" boils down to. The need for the morally righteous to arbitrate failure. What you think is "I failed but I learned a lesson" which leads to "everyone fails and learns a lesson." to "Everyone should HAVE to fail and learn a lesson." to "This guy is reprehensible AND everyone should have to fail to learn a lesson. He should especially have to learn a lesson because he if bad. He needs to fail to learn this lesson." And this rationalization justifies anything. It's not a matter of me making a positive assertion about my identity. It's that I know I'm not the thing you're claiming that I am. But you, on the other hand, seem to be what I said you were. You were the one who wanted it to be about you. You said that explicitly. Or questioned whether I want it to be about me. It's the ones who fail who care most about who succeeds. That's why "not trying" is something that people can't stand.

That's why you'd rather forgo your own ethic. You'd rather steal then let someone succeed without failure. It's the only way for you to arbitrate who gets of the hook for wrongdoing. You need to be able to break your own rules or YOU RULES DON'T WORK JORDAN. It's about doing the "same exact thing I'm doing" while maintaining the moral superiority you feint. How? By purporting to have an ethic that you violate at your discretion. But yes, you're right. Therapy is dead.... But not because of 'society' It's isn't the 'postmodernists'. It's because the most prominent psychologist is a fraud and charlatan and if the 'best' one is a fraud, well, I can even imagine what the worst one may be like. They probably advocate for the mutilation of children. This is what happens when the best of us are still just pieces of shit."
