A verbal reprimand given by parents in response to their misbehaving children, having no effect on said children, given to convince near by adults who are annoyed by children's misbehavior that said parents are at least attempting to maintain control.

My neighbor hollared out while his kid was running circles around me, while gardening in my front yard. Of course, Jimmy didn't slow down, we all knew it was just a courtesy yell.

-truly honestly a mess. A Courtneh takes pictures where one eye is bigger than the other and/or they have many baby hairs standing up. In addition, all they do is eat, fart, sleep, repeat.
