vacation fairy

Noun. The pretend fairy that comes the night before a vacation while the kids are sleeping usually leaving toys and books and games for the kids to keep entertained and calm while traveling. It also is an incentive for excited children to go to sleep the night before.

When the excited kids go to sleep the vacation fairy will come and leave surprises to keep them entertained while traveling to their destination.

The night before they left for their vacation the children went to bed early in hopes that the vacation fairy would come and leave fun toys and surprises for the long ride.

vacation elbow

A temporary medical condition that effects Father’s while on vacation. Typical triggered by loud noises or repeated blows to the seat back. When this malady Occurs the fraternal elbow engages in a manner which generally strikes the person sitting behind them in the car, train, plane or ship.

My vacation elbow was acting up when I had to drive from New York to Florida. Now both my kids have black eyes.
