Middle Class Regional Victorian Aussie slang,

Short for commission, derived from commission housing.

Used to talk down on anything that is seen as poor, lower class or junkee like.

was more frequently used between the 90s and 2010s among school aged kids but is not a commonly used phrase anymore. More common in public schools.

Was common in the town of Warrnambool but extended to other country Victorian towns.

EXAMPLE ONE:

Jackson: Oi, why were you hanging out with Tom?? He’s one of the mish kids!!
Sarah: Mish?
Jackson: Yeah he’s a real junkee. Probably grew up in the shit part of dennington
Sarah: oh yeah it’s pretty rough through there. Tom’s a nice kid tho

EXAMPLE TWO:
Jackson: Did you see what Aysha wore for casual clothes day at school??
Sarah: Yeah those sunnies were so mish!!
