A flake is someone who generally makes plans with you, promises to do things with or for you but can never seem to follow through. When confronted with their behavior they usually get defensive and run away.
Jonty promised to help paint Cameron’s house. He never showed up. We made plans saturday to paint and he came up with an excuse why he couldn't show up. Jonty is a flake.

Generally speaking, this term can be used as a generic slur, but is especially appropriate when a conservative is triggered by the user, after the user points out the contradictions within the reasoning of the corn flake.
