Atheist

The word 'Atheist' simply means someone whom is not a theist. The word is not to be confused with the word 'Antitheist' (someone whom belive there is no god or gods).

The word is a combiation of the word 'Theist' (beliver in a god or gods) and the greek prefix 'A' meaning 'not' or 'without'.

In short:

Theist = Someone whom belives in a god or gods.
Atheist = Not a theist.
Antitheist = Someone that belives there is no god nor gods.

I'm an agnostic atheist, and will lack a beleif in any god or gods until they are scientifically proven with imperical evidence.
