An old Australian Slang term referring to an unplanned pregnancy, first used in 1941 and all the way through to around the 70s. Rarely used now a days.

Can also describe the act of being unproductive or lazy in general. The word originated from the last name Duffey, a kid who famously did absolutely nothing post-graduation.

Sometimes a girl will approach a DUFF and start to flirt but after a while will begin to ask questions about another hotter member of the group.
