halftrack

A cross between a tank and a truck. Most halftracks consist of a large truck frame with two front wheels, but with the rear wheels replaced with tank treads. Halftracks appeared in small numbers at the end of WWI, but found widespread use during the Second World War on both the allied and axis sides, mostly as armored personnel carriers. Some countries still use upgraded surplus versions of these vintage halftracks.

The American M3 series is a good example of a halftrack.

Mr. Halpern

The chorus teacher at New Paltz Middle School, Mr. Halpern appears to be 14 but according to our very reliable sources is actually 28. Tall, awkward and very nerdy, Mr. Halpern uses finger-guns more than the average twelve-year-old. His first name is William, but all students should know not to call him that to his face.

"Who's that really tall eight grader?" "Oh, that's just Mr. Halpern."

Halford

Rob Halford is the amazing original vocalist with Heavy Metal pioneers Judas Priest. Although the equally mighty Black Sabbath invented Heavy Metal, Mr. Halford and his mates helped to develop the sound and image into what we now recognize as modern Heavy Metal.

Rob Halford later quit Judas Priest to get his own band together and released music under the name "Halford". Thankfully he's back now with Judas Priest, and was recently touring with fellow Metal Gods Black Sabbath on the Ozzfest tour (in fact he even sang with Sabbath at one gig when Ozzy couldnt make it!).

We will hear more from Rob Halford and Judas Priest in the future. A lot more.
