A word that indicates one is highly respected among his peers and/or the community. The higher the level of clout one has, the more respect awarded to them. Things can be done to raise one's clout level, such as dressing fashionably, being knowledgeable and well-versed in a multitude of areas, or overall, being fucking awesome.

Johnny's clout levels are off the charts.
They're checking clout cards at the door.
