Great place with great: public transit, food, people, weather, police force, roads, community, schools, suburbs, sports teams, chicks, dudes, etc.
The city is commonly percieved as spread out between racial groups, but that's not really true...True, there are some sides of the city more ghetto than others but really its a pretty equal place all around, other than what I just mentioned.
It's better than NYC because people are nicer, food is better and the traffic is lighter, and it's not so much a "designer city" like NYC, if you know what I mean...No other city comes close.
Food suggestions from a Native:
pizza - Lou Malnati's, the original Uno's, *Edwardo's
hot dogs - **U Dawg U, Superdawg, Portillo's
(*in suburb of Skokie
** in suburb of Niles)
I live in Washington DC but Chicago will always be my hometown.

The food in Chicago is better than the food in New York City.
The traffic in Chicago is better than the traffic in LA.
The police in Chicago is better than the police in Washington DC. And also the subway and bus setup.

Big city with a beautiful skyline. Although geographically placed in the Midwestern state of Illinois, it should be considered it's own state since the rest of the midwest is filled with drunk redneck republicans.
"So your from Illinois?"
"No-I'm from Chicago"
"No-I'm from Chicago"

The United States has the largest health care system in the world, and Chicago is arguably the capital of that system. The city is first among the major dental and medical training centers in the United States. It is also home to the sprawling Illinois Medical District on the Near West Side, which includes Rush University Medical Center, the University of Illinois at Chicago medical center, and John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, the largest trauma-center in the city and the basis for the hospital in NBC's popular drama ER.
The American Medical Association, American Hospital Association, American Dental Association, and the American College of Surgeons are based in the city. The American Osteopathic Association is also located in Chicago.
The University of Illinois College of Medicine at UIC is the largest medical school in the United States (1300 students, including those at campuses in Peoria, Rockford and Urbana-Champaign). Chicago is also home to a large number of nationally recognized medical schools. These include the above-mentioned University of Illinois medical school, Rush Medical College, the Pritzker School of Medicine of the University of Chicago, and the Feinberg School of Medicine of Northwestern University. In addition, the Chicago Medical School and Loyola University Chicago's Stritch School of Medicine are located in the suburbs of North Chicago and Maywood, respectively. The Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine is located in Downers Grove.
The leading healthcare informatics organizations are located in Chicago, including the American Medical Informatics Association and the long-standing HIMSS Health Information Management Systems Society. These organizations include as members most healthcare I.T. vendors and the C.I.O./VP Technology leaders of most American healthcare operations.
Medical products and services companies headquartered in the Chicago area include Baxter International, Abbott Laboratories, and the Healthcare Financial Services division of General Electric.

It would be nice to work in Chicago as a doctor, a nurse, or anywhere in the medical/health care scene... better yet to just work in this beautiful place on any profession you like, period.
Move to Chicago now.
Nicer people.
Better lifestyle.
Great jobs.

A city in the state of Illinois. It is the largest city in Illinois, the largest in the Midwest, and the third largest in the United States. A very impressive skyline, and home to many fortune 500 companies. Although parts of the city are impoverished, what city DOESN'T have places like that? The most expensive inland city in the US. Upscale areas by far dominate the low scale areas. One of the best cities in the country, and in the world. Extremely diverse, although many people believe Chicago is segregated still because of it's past. If you haven't been there before, please stfu like you actually know something.
Chicago has something for everyone.

The second-hardest thing in the world may be getting a New Yorker to move to Chicago, but the hardest thing in the world is getting him to move back.
New Yorker, on being told he is moving to Chicago: No!
Same guy a year later, on being told he is moving back to New York: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Passing around a full beer or other drink amongst a group of friends until the drink is finished. Useful for finishing a beer when rushing to get somewhere.
"Our cab will be here in 2 minutes"
"I'm not done with my beer yet"
"Lets just Chicago it"
The group stands in a circle until the beer is finished.

Best damn city in the U.S. People here are not racist, ignorant, or uneducated. Some of the best high schools in the country are here. People are nice. If you need help with anything you can ask a complete stranger and he'll help you. The fat pigs are over in Wisconsin, although there are some here. Its safe as long as you don't go into the south side, even though there are nice parts down south. Weather sucks in the winter, but get over it and wear a jacket. Only negatives are crime and corruption, but every big city has those. Those who call it Shit-Cago are fags who wouldn't recognize a good city if it was a man who sucked their dick.
