I'm sure you already know what this term means, maybe even from experience. If not, it is the Safety Pinned Patches on Overwhelmingly Dark Clothing look, also called emo or goth, but usually lacks originality. This doesn't make a person bad or stupid, but their energy would be better spent distinguishing themselves through some remarkable contribution rather than just violating popular conventions with an attitude.

Standard beer

A quick-and-dirty method of determining your BAC is to consider one 12-ounce beer (at 4% alcohol-by-volume), one 8-ounce glass of wine (at 12% ABV), or one shot (at 40% ABV) as being the same thing.

The problem with this is that there are all sorts of different beers, of different strengths. Enter the "Standard Beer". One Standard Beer is equivalent to one 12-ounce can of ordinary American or Canadian beer, such as Budweiser or Labatt Blue.

One Standard Beer will increase an ordinary man's BAC by .02% and an ordinary woman's BAC by .03%.

Take, for example, one 24-oz. can of Steel Reserve. At 8.1% ABV, it is twice as strong as a Standard Beer. At 24 ounces, it is also twice as large as a Standard Beer. 2 x 2 = 4. Therefore, one big Steelie is equal to four Standard Beers, and will raise the average man's BAC by .08%.

standard geezer

what you use to refer to a person (mostly male) as a very boring and orthodox person. someone who only does the normal thing and not anything exciting.

person 1 "hey, me and the lads are going to the strip club on Saturday and make it rain on some pretty girls with stupid names like 'boner garage'. you wanna hit it up?"

person 2 " nah. i cant, i got to study for my exam coming up or my teacher will drop me of the course so quick; i wont even have time to cry about it"

person 1 "stop being such a standard geezer and hit it up with the lads"

standard minority

When a specific racial or ethnic group is chosen to represent all minorities to the exclusion of all other minority groups.

The movie used one type of people as the standard minority, so it felt disingenuous.
